How To Download ECM Data Tag with VCM Suite

Step 1

Download VCM Suite (Beta) from HP Tuners.

Step 2

Open VCM Editor.

Note: Sometimes when you install the HP Tuners VCM Suite (Beta) it will not put shortcuts on the desktop. If they are on desktop, open VCM Editor and move to the next step.

Step 3

When VCM Editor opens, you will get a "Beta Software Warning" every time. Hit OK to continue.

IMPORTANT STEP! MAKE SURE MVIP2 IS PLUGGED INTO OBD2 PORT AND USB CABLE IS HOOKED UP TO LAPTOP.

‍Step 4

Make sure the MVIP2 is plugged into the OBD2 port and USB cable is hooked to laptop. Then click the blue "I" circle.

IMPORTANT STEP! MAKE SURE MVPI2 IS CONNECTED TO TRUCK WITH KEY ON.

Step 5

Make sure the MVPI2 is connected to the truck and the laptop with key ON then click BLUE circle in the new window.

If done correctly, your ECM Data Tag information will load.

Click the disk icon and the SAVE AS box will pop up. Make sure DESKTOP is selected to save the file to your DESKTOP.

Step 8

Enter VIN Number as the File Name then click SAVE.

Step 9

Return to the 3K Calibrations Dealer Purchase Form and upload the downloaded file.
