Isuzu Off-Road ECM Tuning for Excavators & Heavy Equipment
If your excavator or heavy equipment is powered by an Isuzu diesel engine, there is a very good chance we can tune it.
3K Calibrations provides custom Isuzu off-road ECM tuning throughout Canada and the USA. We work with Isuzu-powered excavators and heavy equipment from a wide range of manufacturers, supporting everything from smaller 3.0L applications through the large 15.7L engines used in heavy excavation and mining equipment.
Isuzu-Powered Excavators
IIsuzu engines have been used in excavators and heavy equipment from manufacturers including Hitachi, John Deere, Case, Sumitomo, Kobelco and Link-Belt, along with other manufacturers using Isuzu industrial power.
The machine brand is not what determines support. If your excavator has an Isuzu engine, send us the machine model, engine model and engine serial number and we can confirm the application.

We support multiple emissions generations and engine configurations, including Tier 4 and other electronically controlled Isuzu industrial applications.
From Compact Excavators to Mining Equipment
The 3.0L 4JJ1 is commonly used in smaller equipment, while the 5.2L 4HK1 is found in many mid-size applications. Larger excavators and heavy equipment use engines such as the 7.8L 6HK1, 9.8L 6UZ1 and 15.7L 6WG1.
Custom Isuzu ECM Calibration
Every calibration is built around the exact engine, ECM, machine and application. We do not simply load the same generic file into every piece of equipment.
Depending on the application and your goals, we can adjust power, torque delivery, throttle response, governed speed and other supported engine parameters to improve performance and drivability under load.

How It Works
How Isuzu Off-Road Programming Works
1. Confirm Your Machine and Engine
Send us the machine make and model, the Isuzu engine model, and the engine serial number. We will confirm support before any programming begins.
2. Remove the ECM
For Isuzu off-road applications, the ECM must be removed from the machine and shipped to us for bench programming.
3. Urea / DEF Machines Also Need the ACM
If the machine is equipped with urea / DEF aftertreatment, we also need the ACM shipped in with the ECM. If the machine does not use urea / DEF, only the ECM is required.
4. Ship the Modules to Us
Once the ECM is removed — and the ACM as well if equipped — ship the modules to us for programming.
5. We Program and Return Them Ready to Install
We program the modules for your exact application and ship them back ready to reinstall in the machine.
6. Shipping Is Easy
For customers in the USA, we offer $200 USD overnight shipping both ways. We provide the shipping labels and take care of all required customs paperwork.
You simply box up the ECM — and ACM if required — attach the paperwork we send you, and ship it out. Once programming is complete, we send the modules back by overnight shipping.
